Preserving a sustainable environment

Still in 2012, the main source of electric energy is produced by burning fossil fuels. There are three sources of energy that are used in large scale for the planet: coal, oil and natural gas energy sources that are dirty and depleted. Among the three, coal is the main villain. So there is a movement encouraging their replacement with less polluting alternatives such as with renewable energy sources.

While a majority of the world’s current electricity supply is generated from fossil fuels such as coal, oil and natural gas, these traditional energy sources face a number of challenges including rising prices and growing environmental concerns over the climate change risks associated with power generation using fossil fuels. As a result of these and other challenges facing traditional energy sources, governments, businesses and consumers are increasingly supporting the development of alternative renewable energy sources with new technologies for electricity generation.

Brazil is among the highest carbon polluters in the world per capita and yet has the most solar resources of any inhabited continent. Proven solar technology is both beneficial to the environment and a great hedge against rapidly rising electricity prices. There are a multitude of solid economic, social and environmental reasons for commercial solar.

Here are just a few other benefits of Renewable Energy to consider:

  1. Renewable energy is just that as it is renewable therefore meaning that it is sustainable and so will never run out. This offers increased local control of energy production, helping to ensure stable prices and increase the security of our energy supply.
  2. The fuel derived from renewable energy is based from natural, abundant and available resources like the sun, that reduces the costs of operation.
  3. Renewable energy produces little or no waste products such as carbon dioxide or other chemical pollutants, so has minimal impact on the environment.
  4. Renewable energy projects can also bring economic benefits to many home owners and their regional areas. These economic benefits may be in the form of  decreased home energy costs, while at the same time increasing the value of their home in reflection to the savings.
  5. Increased use of renewable energy will also help boost local economies through job creation, by motivating use of local services as well as other local incentives such as tourism.

No other energy source can provide all these benefits. That’s why we welcome you to our greener world.
